WEBINAR – How to Increase Enrollment and Workforce Development through Public Sector Apprenticeships
Thursday, January 15, 12–1 PM
About the Webinar
California’s public sector is experiencing rapidly shifting workforce needs — creating an urgent opportunity for innovative workforce development and training models that build strong, diverse, and career-ready talent pipelines. Community colleges can play a pivotal role in training the next generation of public servants, while also meeting ambitious community college enrollment goals.
Through funding from the Irvine Foundation, the Broad Foundation and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Apprenticeship Building America (ABA2) initiative, the Bridge Public Sector Apprenticeships initiative has launched a California Public Sector Apprenticeship Hub to expand non-traditional Registered Apprenticeships across cities, counties, and special districts.
This free webinar content aligns with the Community College Chancellor’s Office Vision 2030 Plan, which focuses on expanding Registered Apprenticeships within the system. Speakers will introduce colleges, faculty, workforce partners, and regional employer engagement teams to the statewide initiative, and highlight opportunities to develop and expand public sector apprenticeship programs through employer engagement support, partnership and technical assistance.
This Bridge webinar is 100% funded by a $6M grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. This webinar is co-hosted by NextGen Policy, The Clover Agency, and ILG.
