Lesley Milton-Rerig is a local government executive, facilitator, and organizational improvement consultant with nearly 20 years of experience helping public agencies strengthen operations, governance, and organizational effectiveness. Her career has included leadership roles as an Assistant City Manager, Deputy City Manager, Assistant Public Works Director, and City Clerk, providing a broad perspective on both executive leadership and the day-to-day realities of municipal operations.

Lesley partners with local governments to transform strategic priorities into measurable results. She has led complex organizational initiatives involving strategic planning, public works operations, capital improvement program implementation, emergency management, organizational restructuring, technology modernization, public relations and process improvement. Her experience working closely with elected officials, executive leadership teams, bargaining units, community stakeholders, and frontline employees enables her to build consensus while maintaining a strong focus on accountability and implementation.

A skilled facilitator and collaborative problem solver, Lesley believes successful organizations are built on trust, transparency, and shared ownership. She helps agencies improve communication, establish meaningful performance measures, navigate organizational change, and develop practical solutions that employees can embrace and sustain. Her background as both a City Clerk and executive leader gives her a unique appreciation for effective governance, ethical decision-making, public transparency, and the partnership between elected officials and professional staff.

Lesley is particularly passionate about developing resilient leaders and high-performing organizational cultures where information is shared openly, innovation is encouraged, and continuous improvement becomes part of everyday operations. She enjoys helping organizations navigate complex challenges while keeping people at the center of the work.

She holds a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills, a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard Kennedy School, and has completed executive leadership coursework through Yale University and University of California at Berkley. She also recently completed a Master of Business in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Management in Italy, bringing an emerging perspective on how responsible AI can support organizational effectiveness, public engagement, and local government service delivery.
