Experience

Betsy Strauss is an attorney and mediator based in Napa. She specializes in local government law with an emphasis on land use law and municipal finance. She serves as special counsel to the League of California Cities on a variety of municipal finance and land use matters. Betsy has also served as city attorney for Napa, Fairfield and Rohnert Park.

In addition, she has taught State and Local Government Law at Boalt Hall School of Law.

Betsy’s educational background includes an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, from which she graduated Order of the Coif. 

Betsy also has received mediation training from Pepperdine University’s School of Law, the John Paul Jones Group, and CONCUR.
