Have agency staff on site who are CAAs or form a relationship with a local CAA to assist families complete the application.

As your agency becomes known as a resource for information about affordable children’s health insurance, it may be useful to have one or more agency staff become a CAA. CAAs provide more immediate and direct assistance to families wishing to determine if their children’s eligibility and help them complete the application forms. Or, your agency may wish to form a working relationship with an outside CAA, through a community based non-profit, CHI, the county or other agency, to assist families.
