Support:
Conduct thorough research to identify funding opportunities, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure, youth programs, parks, housing, and public safety. Provide targeted grant writing assistance, ensuring proposals align with funding criteria and community priorities. -
Develop a Systemic Grant Development
Approach:
Collaborate with stakeholders to create a comprehensive and sustainable approach to grant development, implementation, and monitoring. This includes developing template language, fostering strategic partnerships, and implementing an inclusive and equitable public engagement approach to ensure that these practices integrate community input to inform project proposals and design. -
Capacity Building through Training & Skill
Enhancement:
Design and deliver training programs aimed at building organizational and community capacity. Topics will include public engagement strategies, effective meeting facilitation, leadership development, understanding parliamentary procedure, adherence to the Brown Act, as well as grant writing and management. - Provide Support to Advance the City’s Interests Related to the Lithium Opportunity: Facilitate conversations, share information, and seek funding to support economic development so that the city can maximize its opportunities related to the potential Lithium industry.
