As cities and counties participating in the Beacon Award program work to complete the criteria necessary to achieve a Silver, Gold or Platinum Beacon Award, we are providing the opportunity to recognize interim accomplishments -- including reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption in municipal operations as well as completed activities in ILG's Climate Action & Sustainability Best Practice Areas.
The Climate Action and Sustainability Best Practices Framework includes ideas from local agencies in ten topic areas and links to case stories that illustrate each practice.
