Immigrant Integration and Engagement
First and second generation immigrants comprise nearly 50 percent of California's population. Many California cities and counties reflect these demographics.
The Public Engagement program provides information and resources to help local officials in California make good decisions about the design and use of inclusive public engagement and effective immigrant integration strategies. These practices can be an important contributor to stronger communities, more responsive services, and more effective local decision making.
In this section you will find news, best practices, resources and stories from around the state and country that will inform and support efforts to involve immigrants in the civic, economic and political life of California’s cities and counties.
