Dan Miller is senior vice president, Entitlement & Public Affairs for The Irvine Company, a 110-year-old, privately held company known for its comprehensive focus on quality of life in the balanced, sustainable communities it has planned.
In his current role, Mr. Miller is responsible for the development of strategic policies and processes addressing entitlement issues on The Irvine Ranch within the communities of Anaheim, Orange and Newport Beach.
Mr. Miller joined The Irvine Company in April 2002 as vice president, Government Relations. In that role, he supported The Irvine Company’s initiatives by providing strategy and serving as a liaison with local elected officials and city and county staff.
Prior to that, he was a partner with Rosenow Spevacek Group, providing consultant services to local government on financial, management and real estate matters, as well as serving as interim city manager for such cities as Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest and Yorba Linda.
Previously, Mr. Miller directed the Southern California state and local government services function for Deloitte & Touche, and before that served as chief of staff for a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
Mr. Miller earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cal State Fullerton. He also holds a master’s in public administration from the University of Southern California.
