Intergovernmental Conflict Resolution Resources Available from ILG

Post Local Agency Associations

The Institute for Local Government recently announced the release of A Local Official’s Guide to Selecting a Conflict Resolution Professional for Inter-Agency Disputes with an invitation to spread the word to local agencies about the pamphlet’s availability (an electronic version of this pamplet is available at www.ca-ilg.org/mediatorselection).

To make spreading the word as convenient as possible, we have provided sample newsletter articles at www.ca-ilg.org/adrnewsletter.

The selecting mediators pamphlet is the latest in the Institute’s series of pamphlets that help local agencies consider alternatives to litigation to resolve intergovernmental disputes. It follows the previous release of pamphlets describing 1) alternative dispute resolution for local agencies in general and 2) special legal issues relating to local agencies’ use of alternative dispute resolution as resources for local officials.

Anything you can do to help your membership be aware of our resources would be most appreciated.

Please also feel encouraged to check out the resources available for local officials from all Institute program areas and resources, including climate change, land use, public service ethics and more at www.ca-ilg.org.
