Humboldt Bay Sea Level Rise Adaptation Planning Project
The purpose of this project is to support informed decision-making and encourage a unified, consistent regional adaptation strategy to address the hazards associated with sea level rise in the Humboldt Bay region. Partners include: Humboldt County, the cities of Eureka and Arcata, Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District, and the North District Coastal Commission.
The project has already completed a shoreline mapping and vulnerability assessment. The Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District will convene an adaptation planning working group, beginning in Spring 2013.
