The Institute has an opening for a communications program coordinator.

The position’s role is to manage and promote the Institute’s brand; to promote Institute resources and programs; and to express the mission and values of the Institute to all stakeholders, including California local agency officials, former officials, the Institute’s parent organizations and other associations of local agencies, partner organizations, companies who do business with local agencies and potential donors.

The nature of the position demands a highly motivated individual who can effectively manage time to achieve objectives and meet competing deadlines.  Critical attributes include excellent communications, interpersonal and teamwork skills. 

A passion for ILG’s mission and a commitment to fulfill ILG’s obligation to local officials, funders and stakeholders is also essential.
