Cities, Counties, Others Seek Better Public Engagement Plans through RFPs/RFQs

Post

A growing number of local agencies are seeking outside help with public engagement planning and design. These are not simply for one-time processes to engage the public in a specific plan or budget, but to assess needs and to develop a system or plan through which a local or regional agency can build public engagement broadly into its governance processes.

The Institute for Local Government is collecting these formal RFPs and RFQs in hopes that they may assist other cities and counties in California that are pursuing a similar path. A listing here does not necessarily endorse a particular approach but may be useful for a local agency that is thinking though and drafting its own RFP/RFQ.
