Who Is Eligible?

A summary of eligibility requirements appears below. Be sure to check with the Department of Health Services to verify eligibility. Eligible individuals include:

  • All children younger than 19 years, of all income levels;
  • Young adults who are leaving foster care when they turn 18 (regardless of income); and
  • Parents and caretakers with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level ($44,100 annually for a family of four in 2009) who have kids in foster care.
