Alice Fredericks, League of California Cities Liaison Member

Alice was elected to Tiburon’s City Council in 2001, after serving on her city’s Parks & Open Space Commission and then the Planning Commission. Alice went on to serve as mayor in 2003-04. She holds both a PhD in Psychology from the University of Miami and a JD (with Honors) from the University of San Francisco. Her career includes such varied highlights as post-doctoral training at the UCSF School of Medicine’s Cardiovascular Research Institute, being a Clinical Pharmacology Fellow at that same institution, and an externship with the California Supreme Court, as well as a number of articles in peer-reviewed pharmacological and behavioral research journals. In addition to serving on a number of regional and subregional bodies, Alice has also been active in the League’s North Bay Division. She served as Division President in 2005-06 and now represents the Division on the League’s Board of Directors. She also has served on the Division’s representative to the League’s Transportation, Communications and Public Works Policy Committee since 2004.
