"Protect Your Climate" Curriculum

BAAQMD's Protect Your Climate, the first comprehensive climate protection curriculum in California, offers 16 lessons for 4th and 5th graders that can be easily adapted for other grades.

Protect Your Climate’s  lessons investigate the science and causes of climate change and how students can take action to protect our climate. Through hands-on activities, students learn ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from energy, waste, and transportation uses. Lessons are connected to the California state content standards.

The Air District developed Protect Your Climate as part of its commitment to educate the next generation on climate change. The curriculum is available for free on the Air District's website.
