Greening Agency Fleets Resource Center
To help local officials evaluate options for greening agency fleets, the Institute’s California Climate Action Network gathered information from city and county officials about questions regarding fuel-efficient and alternative-fuel vehicles.
The Institute also collected community stories from cities and counties that have successfully greened their fleets, compiled “how-to” guidance about how to purchase vehicles through the California State Department of General Services purchasing program, and gathered links to technical and funding resources to assist local agencies wanting to green their fleets. Finally, the Institute prepared a short discussion of questions frequently raised by local officials to help them understand key green fleet issues.
