English and Spanish Language Tip Sheets (Word) on Land Use Decisions: Public Hearing One-Pagers
The Institute has developed a series of plain-language descriptions of common land use decisions.
These descriptions can be used in a number of ways:
- They can be attached to hard copy or electronic notices of public meetings;
- They can be made available as handouts at the planning counter; and
- They can be included as links in an agency website.
These resources can be downloaded in both English and Spanish and are found over to the right as Word versions that local agencies can customize for their own needs are available. PDF versions, found below, can be used for agency purposes.
We would like to thank Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP whose financial support made this Institute project possible.Translation of these materials has been supported by ZeroDivide and the James Irvine Foundation.
The Institute also offers a general tip sheet on participating in the decision-making process that can go on the back of each one-pager. Note that each of the “designed” versions of the one-pagers cross- reference this tip sheet as being on the back.
